My True Love Gave to Me
Wild Moon Books
Deadline: October 15th

Ah, "The Twelve Days of Christmas". A classic that tells of the many varied-and odd-gifts one person gave their true love. Wild Moon Books would like to recreate that feeling with their My True Love Gave To Me line. We are seeking winter-themed, holiday submissions full of true love, romance, and steamy togetherness. All submissions must contain a happily-ever-after ending. Ménage stories will be accepted for this line. Warmth, happiness, perhaps a little holiday struggle, are what we expect. Comical visits with families, the rekindling of an old love, or even gifting ten maids a-milking to an unsuspecting lover. Wild Moon Books is open to all sorts of stories, genres, and themes for this line, so long as they're happy, wintry, and joyous! Stories must be between 15,000 and 20,000 words.

Storm Moon Press is seeking submissions of 20,000 words or more for their current GLBT lines and for their heterosexual imprint, Wild Moon Books. Our contracts are for four (4) year terms with no right of first refusal or non-compete clauses and seek worldwide first English rights. We offer 50% cover on digital titles sold through our online storefront and 40% net on digital sales through third parties. We pay via check or PayPal. All titles over 65,000 words are made available in print as well as digital. You can find all our submission guidelines at:

22 Days of Yule
Storm Moon Press
Deadline: October 15th

We are looking for stories that involve ghosts or haunted houses, things that go bump in the night and scare people shitless. The opportunities are endless here: a ghost hunter main character, patients falling for one another in a haunted asylum, even a medium falling in love with one of the spirits. While mystery, horror, or thriller settings are perfect for this kind of story, feel free to sell us on any other genre such as fantasy, sci-fi, or historical. The stories in this line must feature GLBT main characters, a level of horror (a scare factor), and a romantic or erotic sub-plot. Length must be 20,000 words or higher.

Short Story - Hero Erotica - 10/01/12

Sex Objects: Hot He-Man Erotic Romance for Women
Editor: Delilah Devlin
Publisher: Cleis Press in Fall 2013
Deadline: October 1, 2012 (although sooner is better!)
Payment: $50.00 USD and two copies of the published book

Sex Objects: HOT HE-MAN EROTIC ROMANCE FOR WOMEN is open to all authors.

Editor Delilah Devlin is looking for hetero “super alpha” stories for a romantic erotica anthology tentatively entitled Sex Objects: HOT HE-MAN EROTIC ROMANCE FOR WOMEN.

What is it about heroes like Superman, Iron Man or Thor that revs our engines like no other? Is it the suit? The manly physique? Or is it the courage they display, wading in where others fear to go, to save the damsel, the city, the Earth?

Are there real-life heroes who inspire the same lustful fascination? Kickass iconic heroes who enter danger zones in the name of duty, honor, country—or maybe love—who conjure images of hard, chiselled bodies, deadly glares and camouflaged features?

Sex Objects will seek stories that satisfy the reader who craves the romantic idea of that “super alpha” man. The stories will be contemporary. While traditional themes are likely to be featured, writers are encouraged to imagine greater in order to create tales that, while featuring this iconic hero, may also surprise.

Imagine the Navy SEAL sent on a suicide mission; the damaged Army Ranger home from war; the para rescue team member jumping into frigid waters; a SWAT team member entering a human trafficker’s den... These “super alpha” heroes can be military members and based in far-flung places around the world or the smokejumper living next door. Then imagine the romantic possibilities of being held against that massively muscled chest by a man whose mission is to protect and serve...
Published authors with an established “super alpha” world may use that setting for their original short story.

The stories may be as kinky or vanilla as the writer wants—but a deep sensuality should linger in every word. Exotic locations and scenarios are welcome. Keep in mind there must be a romantic element with a happy-for-now or happy-ever-after ending. Strong plots, engaging characters and unique twists are the ultimate goal. Please no reprints. We are seeking original stories.

How to submit: Prepare your 1,500 to 4,500 words story in a double-spaced, Arial, 12 point, black font document with pages numbered (.doc, NOT.docx) OR rich text format. Indent the first line of each paragraph half an inch and double space (regular double spacing, do not add extra lines between paragraphs or do any other irregular spacing). US grammar (double quotation marks around dialogue, etc.) is required.

In your document at the top left of the page, include your legal name (and pseudonym if applicable), mailing address, and 50 words or less bio in the third person to sexobjectsmanlyerotica@gmail.com. If you are using a pseudonym, please provide your real name and pseudonym and make it clear which one you’d like to be credited as. Authors may submit up to 2 stories. Delilah will respond in January 2013. The publisher has final approval over the stories included in the manuscript.

Payment will be $50.00 USD and two copies of the published book upon publication.
Direct any questions you have regarding your story or the submission process to Delilah at:

Our Ad-Dick-Tion anthology is an ongoing submission call. There is no other theme besides being m/m. The anthology will consist of 10 stories each with a royalty of 4% of net sales. No single author shall have more than 2 stories in this anthology. We reserve the rights for digital for 1 year with the option of renewing after that. Circlet Press Writers Guidelines
Call for submissions: Under Cover of Darkness (villains!)
Deadline: Aug. 15 2012.
Every rebel has his or her galactic dictator. The gallant young gentleman has his moustache-twirling railroad binder (not to mention the sweet thing tied to the tracks). The cheeky highwayman and the corrupt sheriff. For every good guy we root for, there’s a villain. And some of us have always found the villains sexier than the heroes. How many villains are really evil–and how many are just trying to change the status quo, a la Doctor Horrible? Maybe they’re just misunderstood. Or maybe they are evil, but hey, there’s always someone getting gooshy for the bad boy, even if it’s just for one night. Or maybe one knight. We’re looking for stories that show every dichotomy has TWO sides, and it’s time for the attractions and enticements on the villain’s side to be examined. Circlet Press welcomes sex-positive stories of all sexualities and preferences.
MORE DETAILS ON SUBMITTING:
Length: Our preferred length is approximately 3500 to 7500 words, but we will consider the range from 2000 to 10,000 words. All submissions must be made via email to Andrea Trask, editor, at the following address: blisswrites@gmail.com
Deadline: August 15, 2012
Submissions sent to other addresses/other editors at Circlet Press will not be considered. Standard manuscript formatting rules apply even though sending as an attachment (MS Word .doc or .rtf preferred). Please note that this means your name, address, and email contact must appear on the manuscript itself and not simply in your email message. (If you’re not sure what standard short story submission format should look like, Google is your friend.)
No simultaneous submissions (that is, don’t also send your story elsewhere at the same time, and don’t send it to multiple Circlet editors, either), and no multiple submissions to the same book. One story per author per anthology, thanks.
All stories must include explicit sexuality and erotic focus. Romantic content is welcome, but in a short story remember to keep the details on the action and its effects on the main character’s internal point of view. We favor a strong, singular narrative voice (no ‘head hopping’). For more details on our editorial preferences, see the general submission guidelines on circlet.com. We highly recommend reading the guidelines, especially the “do not send” list, to increase your chances of sending us something we’ll love. Try to avoid cliches. Fresh and direct language is preferred to overly euphemistic. Sex-positive, please, no rape/nonconsensuality/necrophilia or other purposefully gross topics. We do not publish horror.
Originals only, no reprints. We purchase first rights for inclusion in the ebook anthology for $25, with the additional rights to a print edition later which would also be paid $25 if a print edition happens. Authors retain the rights to the individual stories; Circlet exercises rights to the anthology as a whole.
