Short Stories - Erotica - Anthology

CALL FOR SUBMISSION:
www.MissTracee.com

EROTIC SHORT STORIES

Coming Together: Triumphantly is a collection of erotica that deals with reclaiming the body and sexuality after the trauma of illness or injury. This collection will benefit the National Women's Health Network.

We are seeking stories of triumph, of healing, and of appreciating the body and its abilities after (and in spite of) the changes brought about by illness/injury.

Attach submissions of up to 7,000 words to an email in RTF or DOC format and send to submissions @ the-erotic-cocktail.com with TRIUMPHANT SUBMISSION in the subject line. In the body of the email, include the story title, word count, your pen name, and a brief bio. Also, please indicate whether the submission has been previously published. Poetry will also be considered.

This collection will be edited by Dorla Moorehouse, who pitched the idea to Coming Together as follows:

In late 2010, my friend and fellow writer Reesa Brown and I decided we wanted to edit an erotica anthology based around reclaiming the body and sexuality after trauma, such as illness or assault. This idea was very important to Reesa, who was a breast cancer survivor. We mapped things out, found some interest from other writers we knew, and put together a call for submissions, but then Reesa's cancer returned. She spent most of 2011 fighting, and most of the time she was too ill to work. We planned to relaunch our efforts as soon as she was well, but unfortunately, that day never happened. After grieving her death in January, I've decided I want to continue along with the project as planned, even though she is no longer here to co-edit with me. While more than a year has passed since our initial plans, my motivation is stronger than ever.

Coming Together plans a Valentine's Day 2013 release for this anthology.

Here's the URL: http://www.eroticanthology.com/triumphantly.htm

Thanks again! Your support helps a lot.

Cheers,
Dorla

Short Stories - Anthology - Erotica, Erotic Romance

Storm Moon Press

www.MissTracee.com

Anthology Guidelines
General Information
Unless otherwise specified in the particular call, anthology submissions are subject to the following guidelines:
Submissions must be between 10,000 and 20,000 words. All submissions will be edited, but this is no excuse to send in a first draft. Stories should be as polished as possible before being submitted. Submissions must have either a core romantic plot or a reasonable amount of erotic content. Genre, pairing, and/or other restrictions may apply—read the anthology call closely before submitting!

All works submitted to Storm Moon Press must be unreleased works. We are only interested in acquiring exclusive first English language rights. This means if a work has been self-published, published by a subsidy press, on a website, journal, or other public forum, those rights have already been used and we cannot accept your submission.
Material that includes the following will be summarily rejected:
  • Pedophilia (sex involving one or more persons under the age of 18)
  • Necrophilia (sex with dead bodies—vampires, zombies, and the like don't count)
  • Bestiality (sex with non-sentient animals or shifters in full animal form)
  • Scat or golden showers (sex involving urine or feces play)
  • Gratuitous violence (including splatterpunk, slasher, and torture-porn)
  • Rape intended to arouse (though we will consider forced seduction or dubious consent if it is respectfully handled)
  • Snuff (sex during which one or more persons are killed)
Royalties and Contracts
As of June 1, 2012, unless otherwise specified in the particular call, our standard royalty and contract terms are as follows:
Initial contract length will be for exclusive print and electronic rights for three years. One year after the release of the anthology, each author's submission will additionally be made available for purchase separately in electronic formats.
Authors will receive a single payment of $75-$150 for their story based on length (i.e., $0.0075 per word). Royalties on individual e-book releases will be 50% of cover price on direct sales through Storm Moon Press' e-store, and 40% of cover price minus distribution costs for sales through third party vendors. All royalties will be paid quarterly.
Contributors will also be given 2 print copies of the anthology, one PDF copy of the anthology, and one PDF copy of their single release short story.

We also accept heterosexual romances, QUILTBAG literary fiction, and QUILTBAG young adult fiction through our imprints.

Short Story - Erotic Geek Love - Deadline: 09/15/2012

www.MissTracee.com

Call For Submissions

Geek Love: An Anthology of Full Frontal Nerdity
Editor: Shanna Germain
Publisher: Kickstarter
Deadline: September 15, 2012
Payment: Semi-pro rates of .03/word for fiction and $150 per page of art.
Do you have the hots for that uber-sexy IT chick who knows exactly how to turn your computer on? Do you find a mad scientist's lab a sexier setting than the bridal suite at the Ritz? Do you take tours through the natural history museum just so you can watch the tour guide talk about the hardness of perfectly preserved dino bones? Know how to twiddle a game controller with the best of them? Then we want to see your stories, art and comics in Geek Love.
Geek Love will be a collection that celebrates geekdom in all its erotic, smart, hot-as-an-exploding-chem-lab ways. Think smart and sexy, girls with glasses, boys with brains, computers with all the right hardware. Give us characters who are smart but not smarmy, nerdy and wordy — whether they're playing Doctor or petting Schrödinger's pussy! Bring us your mad (and sane) scientists, your grammar nerds and your nerdy grandmas, your role players and cos-players, your freaks and geeks, your goggles and gears.
We have a kick-ass team putting this collection together, full of skilled editors, planning gurus, artists and promotional rockstars, including Galen Dara, Jaym Gates, Janine Ashbless, and Shanna Germain.
This will be a Kickstarter Project, and the funds will be used to pay the writers and artists, to produce the full-color ebook and print book, and to promote the collection. If we receive additional funds (and we absolutely believe we will), that money will be used to increase the pay to authors and artists.
Geek love… It's the Comma Sutra. It's Full-Frontal Nerdity at its finest. It's the sexiest thing since Leisure Suit Larry and Lara Croft filmed that super-secret easter egg cut scene together. It's hotter than a mad scientist's robot girl.
What We Really Want (IMPORTANT! READ ME!)
We have accepted a number of fantastic stories and art pieces from top writers and artists in the erotic and geek industries. Here's what we're looking for to complete the collection:
More stories and artwork with QUILTBAG characters, as well as a range of ages, races, body types, alternative sexualities, and varieties of geekery.
We especially need stories with elements of steampunk, cyberpunk, science/math/computer programming, horror, sci-fi, spec fic, super heroes, tentacles, fairy tales, aliens, mad scientists, robots/technologies, glasses, spaceships, and fantastic world-building. Stretch the sexual boundaries. Think outside the geek box. Give us more hot sex and less romance.
We want more hot art of men and couples/threesomes/etc. engaging in sexy, geeky activities. Also, images and photos of nerdy sexual paraphilia are fun did you make a steampunk dildo? Send us a picture. Submit the schematics for your ideal sex 'bot. Did you draw a fantasy map of geeky, sexual places? We want it. Red Riding Hood getting it on with Snow White? Or the mirror? Or the dwarves? Yes, please. Give us otherworldly, dark, fantastical, fearsome, hot sexual stuff!
We'd love to have some funny, risqué, beautiful comics as well! Think Oglaf, Chester 5000, The Devil's Panties, etc.
Dark is great. Funny is great. Just make it geeky and sexy and original.
For great suggestions of what we like, please visit our Pinterest page.
NOTE: We do NOT need any more stories about gamers/gaming, conventions, hetero couples having vanilla sex, geeks who have sex after a night of gaming, or long-term romance that takes a long time to blossom.
"Two people meet and have sex" is NOT enough of a plotline for this collection. Give us plot arcs, world-building, character interaction, internal dilemmas, beautiful language, and cunning innovation and you'll have use swooning all over you.**
The Fine Print
STORIES can be of any sexual orientation, with any number of participants. Any time period or genre is acceptable, but all stories should be well written, with strong believable characters, a solid plot and steamy sex. Humor is always a plus. No characters or worlds that are owned by someone else, please—we love D&D too, but don't want to get sued into oblivion. Stories should be 100-6000 words, submitted double-spaced in 12-point font as a .doc (or .rtf).
ART can be geeky, erotic black and white and color drawings, photos, cartoons, comics, and any other combination of art and words. Graphics should be submitted as high-res tiffs, jpgs, or gifs. The ebook and print book will be in full-color, but black and white images are also accepted.
Payment for accepted pieces will be semi-pro rates of .03/word for fiction and $150 per page of art.
We purchase first world electronic and print rights. We will consider reprints, but don't expect to accept very many of them, and they'll have to be amazing to get a yes vote from our team.
Submit stories and artwork to geekloveanthology@gmail.com by September 15, 2012.
If you think you're going to submit, have questions, or just want to run a theme/story idea/topic by us ahead of time, feel free to email us at the above email address.
What we can't accept: Underage characters having sex. Bestiality (of the real-animal type. Shapeshifters, furries, and Doctor Moreau's lab experiments are all fair game). Characters or worlds that do not belong to you (i.e. no fan fiction or art of any sort).
Thank you so much! We look forward to seeing your work.

Romance Novels - Contemporary

www.MissTracee.com
https://twitter.com/MissTracee

BLACK LION PUBLISHING

There's nothing like a good romance novel with attractive characters, and we don't just mean physically. Heroes and heroines in Black Lyon contemporary romance novels have personality and depth of character. Heroines can come from all walks of life and have all sorts of interests. Settings should preferably be in America. Rural or urban - it doesn't matter. Traditional contemporary heroes such as businessmen and cowboys are welcome in our contemporaries, as are most other heroes. We accept fictional rock star or movie star heroes if the character does not demonstrate the lifestyle often associated with those professions. Sexual tension is vital, but we do enjoy sweet romances in the contemporary line. Manuscripts should not contain swearing beyond "damn" or "hell." Happy endings are mandatory. Manuscripts containing infidelity, abuse, addiction or similar behavior on the part of the two main characters will be rejected. Stories should be written in third-person and above all, be romantic. Readers should remember that feeling of falling in love simply by reading one of these books. 45,000 - 60,000 words.

All submissions must contain a happily-ever-after ending. Ménage stories will be accepted for this line. Warmth, happiness, perhaps a little holiday struggle, are what we expect. Deadline: October 15th

We are looking for stories that involve ghosts or haunted houses, things that go bump in the night and scare people shitless. The opportunities are endless here: a ghost hunter main character, patients falling for one another in a haunted asylum, even a medium falling in love with one of the spirits. While mystery, horror, or thriller settings are perfect for this kind of story, feel free to sell us on any other genre such as fantasy, sci-fi, or historical. The stories in this line must feature GLBT main characters, a level of horror (a scare factor), and a romantic or erotic sub-plot. Length must be 20,000 words or higher.

Short Story - Hero Erotica - 10/01/12

Sex Objects: Hot He-Man Erotic Romance for Women
Editor: Delilah Devlin
Publisher: Cleis Press in Fall 2013
Deadline: October 1, 2012 (although sooner is better!)
Payment: $50.00 USD and two copies of the published book

Sex Objects: HOT HE-MAN EROTIC ROMANCE FOR WOMEN is open to all authors.

Editor Delilah Devlin is looking for hetero “super alpha” stories for a romantic erotica anthology tentatively entitled Sex Objects: HOT HE-MAN EROTIC ROMANCE FOR WOMEN.

What is it about heroes like Superman, Iron Man or Thor that revs our engines like no other? Is it the suit? The manly physique? Or is it the courage they display, wading in where others fear to go, to save the damsel, the city, the Earth?

Are there real-life heroes who inspire the same lustful fascination? Kickass iconic heroes who enter danger zones in the name of duty, honor, country—or maybe love—who conjure images of hard, chiselled bodies, deadly glares and camouflaged features?

Sex Objects will seek stories that satisfy the reader who craves the romantic idea of that “super alpha” man. The stories will be contemporary. While traditional themes are likely to be featured, writers are encouraged to imagine greater in order to create tales that, while featuring this iconic hero, may also surprise.

Imagine the Navy SEAL sent on a suicide mission; the damaged Army Ranger home from war; the para rescue team member jumping into frigid waters; a SWAT team member entering a human trafficker’s den... These “super alpha” heroes can be military members and based in far-flung places around the world or the smokejumper living next door. Then imagine the romantic possibilities of being held against that massively muscled chest by a man whose mission is to protect and serve...
Published authors with an established “super alpha” world may use that setting for their original short story.

The stories may be as kinky or vanilla as the writer wants—but a deep sensuality should linger in every word. Exotic locations and scenarios are welcome. Keep in mind there must be a romantic element with a happy-for-now or happy-ever-after ending. Strong plots, engaging characters and unique twists are the ultimate goal. Please no reprints. We are seeking original stories.

How to submit: Prepare your 1,500 to 4,500 words story in a double-spaced, Arial, 12 point, black font document with pages numbered (.doc, NOT.docx) OR rich text format. Indent the first line of each paragraph half an inch and double space (regular double spacing, do not add extra lines between paragraphs or do any other irregular spacing). US grammar (double quotation marks around dialogue, etc.) is required.

In your document at the top left of the page, include your legal name (and pseudonym if applicable), mailing address, and 50 words or less bio in the third person to sexobjectsmanlyerotica@gmail.com. If you are using a pseudonym, please provide your real name and pseudonym and make it clear which one you’d like to be credited as. Authors may submit up to 2 stories. Delilah will respond in January 2013. The publisher has final approval over the stories included in the manuscript.

Payment will be $50.00 USD and two copies of the published book upon publication.
Direct any questions you have regarding your story or the submission process to Delilah at:
sexobjectsmanlyerotica@gmail.com.

Circlet Press Writers Guidelines
Call for submissions: Under Cover of Darkness (villains!)
Deadline: Aug. 15 2012.
Every rebel has his or her galactic dictator. The gallant young gentleman has his moustache-twirling railroad binder (not to mention the sweet thing tied to the tracks). The cheeky highwayman and the corrupt sheriff. For every good guy we root for, there’s a villain. And some of us have always found the villains sexier than the heroes. How many villains are really evil–and how many are just trying to change the status quo, a la Doctor Horrible? Maybe they’re just misunderstood. Or maybe they are evil, but hey, there’s always someone getting gooshy for the bad boy, even if it’s just for one night. Or maybe one knight. We’re looking for stories that show every dichotomy has TWO sides, and it’s time for the attractions and enticements on the villain’s side to be examined. Circlet Press welcomes sex-positive stories of all sexualities and preferences.
MORE DETAILS ON SUBMITTING:
Length: Our preferred length is approximately 3500 to 7500 words, but we will consider the range from 2000 to 10,000 words. All submissions must be made via email to Andrea Trask, editor, at the following address: blisswrites@gmail.com
Deadline: August 15, 2012
Submissions sent to other addresses/other editors at Circlet Press will not be considered. Standard manuscript formatting rules apply even though sending as an attachment (MS Word .doc or .rtf preferred). Please note that this means your name, address, and email contact must appear on the manuscript itself and not simply in your email message. (If you’re not sure what standard short story submission format should look like, Google is your friend.)
No simultaneous submissions (that is, don’t also send your story elsewhere at the same time, and don’t send it to multiple Circlet editors, either), and no multiple submissions to the same book. One story per author per anthology, thanks.
All stories must include explicit sexuality and erotic focus. Romantic content is welcome, but in a short story remember to keep the details on the action and its effects on the main character’s internal point of view. We favor a strong, singular narrative voice (no ‘head hopping’). For more details on our editorial preferences, see the general submission guidelines on circlet.com. We highly recommend reading the guidelines, especially the “do not send” list, to increase your chances of sending us something we’ll love. Try to avoid cliches. Fresh and direct language is preferred to overly euphemistic. Sex-positive, please, no rape/nonconsensuality/necrophilia or other purposefully gross topics. We do not publish horror.
Originals only, no reprints. We purchase first rights for inclusion in the ebook anthology for $25, with the additional rights to a print edition later which would also be paid $25 if a print edition happens. Authors retain the rights to the individual stories; Circlet exercises rights to the anthology as a whole.
